A brief history
Martin is a British guitarist, songwriter, educator and artist whose career spans performance, recording, and music education.
He released his debut album Pulse in 2000, earning a place in the Guitarist of the Year finals and being tipped by Guitarist magazine as “the next British Steve Vai.” He studied at the Academy of Contemporary Music under tutors including guitar giants Guthrie Govan and Dave Kilminster.
Martin has toured and recorded extensively, including work with Gary Barden’s Statetrooper, Never The Bride, Randy and the Rockets, Violent Storm, and glam rock legends The Sweet. He has performed with members of Blackmore's Night, Yngwie Malmsteen, Billy Joel, Rory Gallagher Band, Rainbow and played major European venues and festivals including Sonisphere at Knebworth.
Martin has demonstrated for Guitarist magazine and Feline Guitars, and continues to teach at Idol Hands Music and Design. He appeared on Sky Arts’ Guitar Star, performing with Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath.
A new instrumental solo album is set for release in the coming months.
