A brief history

- Began playing piano but on the 23rd August 1991 went to London and bought an electric guitar...a red stratocaster copy (Peavey Predator).  
- Taught him self for the next ten years, played in a band called Flipside. 
- Starts teaching guitar aged 16.  
- Degree in Art and Psychology
- In 2000 released his first album 'Pulse' which lead him to the 'Guitarist of the Year' finals and was ever so kindly tipped as 'the next British Steve Vai' (Guitarist magazine).  
- In 2002 he attended The Academy of Contemporary Music where he was tutored by Guthrie Govan, Dave Kilminster and Jamie Humphries amongst others.  
- 2003 Became partner in Uptempo Music shop
- Joined Gary Barden's (Michael Schenker Group frontman) Statetrooper recording 'The Calling' album in Germany and touring UK and Europe.  
- Played for Never The Bride, featuring Nikki Lamborn and Rory Gallagher's rhythm section.
- Joined Randy and the Rockets 2006
- Opened Uptempo Music Oxted
- 2007 played for Violent Storm whose album featured Yngwie Malmsteen and Judas Priest's KK Downing and members of Richie Blackmore's band. After two days of rehearsals the first gig was an arena in Switzerland with Motley Crue and Papa Roach.  
- 2010 Martin joined 70's glam legends The Sweet for shows all over Europe with Slade.
- 2014 started an originals band with Matt Hayes called Empire Kill, playing their first show at Sonisphere Festival in Knebworth.  - Owned two music shops/schools, demonstrated at music shows for Guitar magazine and Feline Guitars and currently teaches at Idol Hands Music and Design.  
- 2014 played with ex Rainbow and MSG singer Doogie White in the Barnstormers. 
- In March 2014 Martin started Moonshine & Molly with Mariam Bascal (now his wife) releasing an album 'Timeline' in December 2014.  
- 2015 involved in a Sky Arts television programme called Guitar Star, playing with am with Toni Iommi from Black Sabbath. 
- 2016 started band Little Dead Mice and continuous art exhibitions
